June Grocery Haul

The meals:

Loaded Baked Potatoes, Fresh salad (Still had Potatoes)

Mushroom pork chops, brussell sprouts (Still Had Pork chops and mushrooms)

Orange dijon chicken drumsticks

Hamburgers, antipasto, cesar salad (Camping)

Shrimp sausage skillet meal

BBQ pork ribs, corn

Spaghetti, Garlic bread, salad

Honey Dijon pork chops, green beans, caprese salad (had pork chops and canned green beans)

Steak, potato wedges, tomato cucumber salad

Lemon butter scallops, asparagus, rice (had rice and lemons)

Steak burritos (leftover steak)

Pulled pork sliders

Chicken thighs, broccoli, scalloped potatoes

Salsa simmered fish over rice (had salsa and rice)

Lemon and herb chicken ( Had chicken breast)

Greek turkey meatball gyros w/ tzatziki sauce

Sandwiches: Either grilled cheese or turkey

Make your own pizza (Had bread flour and pepperoni)

Chicken quesadillas (with leftover chicken)

Roasted chicken, risotto, green beans

Meatloaf, broccoli, dinner rolls

Chicken salad (leftover chicken)

These are the meals I plan on making. Since I have nights I don't get around to cooking a meal, I usually have leftovers in the fridge or something that's easy to put together like sandwiches or chicken strips from the freezer. With a meal plan, I cook a lot more than when I don't, BUT I'm not perfect and my husband has to suffer through whatever I put in front of him, even if it's tuna sandwiches.

$50 over budget because I slipped some extra items in at Costco-it's summer, school's out and we have camping, family in town, etc. I'm not going to beat myself up over it

I shop for our food once a month. I supplement with trips to the produce stand to restock on fresh and local fruits and veggies for the kids. Read my post on monthly grocery shopping tips here!
