Did you know that most states across America offer Free Fishing Days? A day where you can take your family out on the lake and fish without worrying about a license. These days are usually offered during National Fishing and Boating Week (June 1-9, 2019).
For my family, it was great to be able to go fishing together for the first time to see how it would go before committing to an annual fishing license. While there, a ranger stopped by and issued Junior Fishing Licenses to the kids, which of course made their day! We also know that the kids really enjoy fishing and can spend hours at the lake. They especially love to play with the worms. And its a nice relaxing and cheap activity to do together. It's also great to get families together in the great outdoors without the pressure of purchasing a license for everyone.

Have you introduced your kids to fishing yet? If not, try it!
